1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases from Kitchen Bargains (“Kitchen Bargains,” “we,” “us,” “our”), operated under TIJ Australia Pty Ltd, with manufacturing by HAICE Kitchens Pty Ltd.
1.2 By purchasing from us, either online, in-store, or through direct enquiry, you agree to these Terms and Conditions which operate in conjunction with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1.3 We offer both standard and custom kitchen products, cabinetry, hardware accessories, benchtops, and services including consultations and installation.
2. Products and Services
2.1 Our offerings include:
- Standard & Custom Kitchen Packages – Including cabinetry, benchtops, and appliance bundles.
- Storage & Hardware Accessories – Hinges, pull-outs, organizers, etc.
- Services – On-site design consultations, project management, installation estimations, and quote reviews.
2.2 Some products are pickup-only unless otherwise arranged. Stone benchtops and storage hardware may be delivered via third‑party logistics at an additional cost.
3. Customisation and Color Selection
3.1 Clients may choose from available color combinations: Polar White, Empire Oak, and Prime Oak.
3.2 Combinations allowed include: all‑Polar, all‑Empire, all‑Prime, Prime/Polar mix, Empire/Polar mix.
3.3 Any change in selected colors post‑payment will incur additional charges and must be approved.
3.4 All materials and colors are subject to natural variation in grain and tone.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 All prices are in AUD (inclusive of GST) and are subject to change without notice.
4.2 Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, and bank transfer.
4.3 Orders are processed only after receiving full payment (or deposit, where applicable).
4.4 Delivery charges, if applicable, are calculated based on location and logistics partner pricing.
5. Deposits, Cancellations, and Refunds
5.1 Deposits:
- Deposits are non‑refundable after 24 hours of payment.
5.2 Full Payments:
- If full payment is made, 25% becomes non‑refundable after 24 hours.
- Remaining amounts may be refunded at the Company’s discretion if manufacturing has not commenced.
5.3 Cancellations:
- Cancellation of standard orders before dispatch incurs a 30% cancellation fee.
- No refunds or cancellations are permitted on custom‑made items once production begins.
5.4 Refunds:
- Change‑of‑mind refunds are not offered once production starts.
- If accepted, refunds may be provided as store credit only.
6. Delivery and Installation
6.1 Pickup is available from 17 Malibu Cct, Carrum Downs VIC for all major kitchen packages.
6.2 Third‑party delivery for stone or hardware products is available at extra cost.
6.3 Installation services are not included and must be separately arranged through TIJ Australia Pty Ltd.
6.4 Clients can estimate installation costs via our online calculator or request an in‑person quotation.
6.5 Benchtops should be check‑measured after cabinetry installation. Installation of stone is at extra cost and must be arranged separately.
6.6 Storage and hardware items ship within 2–3 business days of payment plus handling time.
7. Project Timelines
7.1 We aim to deliver projects within 4–8 weeks, subject to workload and material availability.
7.2 Some projects may be ready within 2 weeks, but timeframes are estimates only.
7.3 Delays due to client indecision, late changes, or external logistics are not the responsibility of the Company.
8. Warranty Overview
8.1 Kitchen Bargains offers a 5‑year limited warranty on cabinetry and kitchen components from the date of product receipt.
8.2 This warranty covers:
- Manufacturing faults
- Material defects that affect structural integrity or intended function
8.3 This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Minor aesthetic changes over time (e.g. color fading)
- Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, neglect, or failure to follow care guidelines
- Use in outdoor or high‑moisture environments unless explicitly specified
8.4 The warranty is non‑transferable and only applies to the original purchaser.
8.5 All warranty claims must be supported by a valid proof of purchase.
8.6 Repairs or replacements under this warranty do not extend or restart the original 5‑year coverage period.
9. Consumer Guarantees (Under ACL)
9.1 Clients are entitled to a replacement, refund, or compensation for major product failures under the Australian Consumer Law.
9.2 Products failing to meet reasonable expectations will be repaired or replaced unless the defect is minor.
10. Warranty Exclusions
10.1 Warranty does not cover:
- Products sold “as‑is” or as display stock
- Unauthorized modifications or use
- Third‑party installation damage
- Outdoor usage (unless specified)
- Delivery or handling damage once picked up
11. Limitations of Liability
11.1 Kitchen Bargains is not liable for:
- Delays, indirect loss, or consequential damages
- Incompatibility with access points or site restrictions
- Use of non‑approved installers or delivery services
- Damage arising from third‑party freight
11.2 The Client must ensure site access is sufficient for delivery and installation.
12. Product Care Instructions
Please follow these care guidelines to preserve your warranty:
- Cabinetry: Clean with a non‑abrasive, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Stone Benchtops: Wipe spills immediately, avoid thermal shock or acids.
- Accessories/Hardware: Lubricate moving parts annually; avoid excessive force.
- Do not store products outdoors or in wet environments prior to installation.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
